Allow cookies to cool thoroughly
before decorating. |
You can make your own icing or try
using ready-made tubes from the store. |
Add about 2 T of colored icing to
each palette well. Add 4-5 drops of water and mix in with
icing. Stir with an icing brush until it is about the
consistency of ranch dressing. You may need to add more
water, one drop at a time. |
If you make a mistake, scrape off
the icing and start again. |
Small holes and dents in the cookies
are normal occurrences during baking. Try filling them
with a dab of icing. |
Use the opposite end of the icing
brush to make dots. |
Use sprinkles and colored sugar
to embellish your cookies. |
Try using edible cake sparkles on
your cookies while the icing is still wet to add extra
pizzazz! |
Have a box of toothpicks handy to
use for detailed decoration. |
Use a glass of water and paper towel
to clean brushes. The icing brushes are
not dishwasher safe. |
